International students who are aspiring to study in Australia need to apply for admission to a CRICOS registered college or University before applying for a student visa. The steps involved in this process includes:

  • Choosing a preferred course and institution
  • Submitting an application to the institution with supporting documents
  • Obtaining and accepting an offer letter- May take two to four weeks (Student must read and understand the conditions on the offer letter before signing it)
  • Receiving electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE)-May take over two weeks after payment of fees as per letter of offer. The amount of fees may be for one semester or a full year as given in the offer letter.
  • Applying for student subclass 500 or student guardian subclass 590 visa.
Documents required for issue of Offer Letter by the Education Provider
  • Original Passport (Including Old Passport) (All pages)
  • School Leaving Certificate (10 class) or Birth Certificate
  • 10th, 12th Mark sheet, Diploma or ITI Mark sheets or Certificate or Provisional Certificate
  • Bachelor, master’s degree and Transcripts or Provisional Certificate as the case may be.
  • Work Experience Letter in case of employment to cover the gap of study
  • IELTS or PTE English Language Certificate
  • Resume / CV
  • Genuine Temporary Entrant statement
  • Marriage Certificate (If applicable)
English language requirements

Colleges and Universities accept both IELTS & PTE scores as a proof of English Language proficiency. The table below is for guidance as each University or institute will have their own benchmark score for their respective courses.
